The Cruelest Joke - Obama Is A Liar

I submitted my paperwork right away when the "Making Home Affordable" bill passed in March, 2009. And then I waited and waited and called to check progress and then waited some more. Finally, in early June, my magical paperwork arrived. However, by June, my house was seriously in foreclosure, with a foreclosure sale date of August 24, 2009.

I quickly completed the paperwork and made the first "trial" payment of more than $1700. But my house was still in foreclosure. So I called Bank of America in July to ask when my foreclosure would be stopped -- after all, I was in this great "Making Home Affordable" plan and I had done what had been asked of me. I was told that the foreclosure would be cancelled soon, I just needed to be patient.

Several weeks went by, and my home is still in foreclosure. It is now near the end of July and I have made two payments under the "Making Home Affordable" plan. When I called Bank of America, I was told that my "paperwork" was not complete and that was what was holding up the cancellation of the foreclosure. When I called a third party, whose number I obtained from BofA, I was directed to check a different box on one paper and sign my tax returns. Now, they assured me, my foreclosure would be cancelled.

By the first of August, I was fit to be tied. My sale date was still scheduled for August 24, 2009, in spite of the three payments that I had made. BofA low life customer service representatives insist to me that my home is not in foreclosure. After all, if it doesn't exist on their computer screen -- it doesn't exist at all -- right? I patiently explain to each idiot I talk to that foreclosure is a legal process and that their computer screen doesn't need to know about it -- it exists in its own world outside their computer. I am repeatedly faced with condescending customer service idiots who tell me different lies about why my home is in foreclosure and when it will be fixed, but each one has a common goal -- they want me to keep making the new payments.

Each time they read their scipt to me, they always assure me that if I keep making payments, everything will be okay. I made a fourth (unrequired) payment 9/1/09. I was told that they were cancelling the foreclosure on my house and that I needed to make this payment while I waited. Today is 9/9/09, my house is still in foreclosure and I have made four payments.

BofA finally admitted, yesterday, that the "investors" have to approve any modification and that, to date, they have not. When I asked about the payments that I have made, I was told, "you owe us the money anyway, we will keep it." My lawyer has advised me to move immediately. He tells me that this plan has no contractual value for the idiot like me to enforce and that they are going to foreclose on my home.

And you want to know what the third-level customer service idiot with BofA had to say about all of this -- "You shouldn't move because sometimes we pay people to stay in the foreclosed house until it is re-sold." I have made four payments to a non-existent "plan" to save my house and the best that I can be offered is for me to stay through a foreclosure sale and hope that they will pay me to stay in my house?! What in the hell is this? This has to be a joke -- right?!
